With our the ranks of our Derby members ever on the increase, we wanted to remind you guys of some of the exciting events in Derby coming this month. There\u2019s a varied mix of fun things going on around the city, as well as some events organised by our MixingOut members.<\/p>\n

\"Events-Derby\"<\/a><\/h2>\n

Markeaton Park Fair<\/strong><\/h2>\n

What is it:<\/strong> <\/em>Come one, come all! Markeaton Park will be buzzing this month with all the fun of the fair – including traditional fairground rides, games and prize stalls. Entrance to the park is FREE and as well as tons of attractions, there\u2019ll also be hot food and drink on offer.<\/p>\n

Where is it:<\/strong><\/em> Markeaton Park, Kedleston Road<\/p>\n

When is it:<\/strong><\/em> Thursday 7th August to Sunday 19th August, opens at 1pm daily.<\/p>\n

What you can expect:<\/strong><\/em> A lively atmosphere and tons of fun for absolutely everybody. Perfect for getting to know each other for the first time. Find out more here.<\/a><\/p>\n

Hydrangea Garden Open Day<\/strong><\/h2>\n

What is it:<\/strong> <\/em>A guided tour in the sunshine through the UK\u2019s largest national garden of Hydrangea (that\u2019s a kind of flower, incase you didn\u2019t already know). There\u2019ll also be plenty of other specimens to behold and lots of natural, picturesque locations to enjoy.<\/p>\n

Where is it:<\/strong> <\/em>Terrace Caf\u00e9, Darley Park, Farnworth<\/p>\n

When is it:<\/strong><\/em> Sunday 10th August, 10am to 4pm<\/p>\n

What you can expect:<\/strong> <\/em>As well as a guided tour, there\u2019ll also be a talk given by curator Peter Smith. So expect an informative and relaxing day, with some beautiful scenery and a few stops at the coffee shop. Find out more here.<\/a><\/p>\n

Ladies That Lunch<\/strong><\/h2>\n

What is it:<\/strong> <\/em>MixingOut member Julie is organising a a lunchtime get-together for female members only. There\u2019ll be friendly chat, light lunch and perhaps a few cocktails too.<\/p>\n

Where is it:<\/strong> <\/em>Zest, 16D George Street, Friar Gate, Cathedral Quarter<\/p>\n

When is it:<\/strong> <\/em>Saturday 23rd August, 1:30pm<\/p>\n

The Darley Park Concert<\/strong><\/h2>\n

What is it:<\/strong> <\/em>The annual Darley Park Concert returns for another magnificent evening of live orchestral music, rounded off by an exhilarating fireworks display. There\u2019s also a selection of special picnic hampers on offer so you can really make a day of it!<\/p>\n

Where is it:<\/strong> <\/em>Darley Park, Farnworth<\/p>\n

When is it:<\/strong> <\/em>Sunday 31st August, from 6pm onwards.<\/p>\n
